House of Prayer

A community called by God to Learn ~ Grow ~ Support

Welcome to House of Prayer

As the people of God in this place in this time, we continually discern God's will through prayer, reading of scripture and in communion with the Holy Spirit and one another. Our life together is centered on Christ who focuses our mission in the world.

As a community called by God, we understand that we are called to learn about our neighbors as well as ourselves as God's people.

As a community gathered by the Holy Spirit, we acknowledge that as people of faith we practice the discipline of growing in our biblical understanding and provide ways for our faith community to grow in breadth, meaning members, and in depth, meaning faith formation.

As a community united by Christ, we commit ourselves to supporting transformative worship where worshippers are invited to encounter Christ incarnate as an intergenerational community celebrating the seasons of life from birth till death.

If you are seeking a faith community, a church home, we invite you to consider House of Prayer Lutheran Church a place where you will encounter God's abundant grace for all.

Mission Text - "Give Voice to Vision"

Colossians 3:12—17
12As God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. 13Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 14Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. 15And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God. 17And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
